The Chelsea Football Club has started looking for a replacement for Graham Potter, the first-team coach who was fired.

Chelsea intends to examine at least five individuals, according to The Telegraph, before making a choice.

Luciano Spalletti, the manager of Napoli, and his representatives will be questioned about the managerial opening at Stamford Bridge.

Spalletti, who is having a fantastic season with Napoli at home and abroad, is said to be unsure whether he would be interested in leaving Italy, but Chelsea is predicted to make a move regardless.

With co-controlling shareholders Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali turning over responsibility to sports directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, Chelsea will attempt to interview at least five individuals to take Potter’s place permanently.

The early favorite for the full-time position is Julian Nagelsmann, who previously collaborated with Stewart and Chelsea’s technical director Christopher Vivell at RB Leipzig.

Yet, sources are sure that Nagelsmann cannot decline the position at this time since Chelsea is committed to carrying out what they believe to be a laborious search for the ideal candidate.

Stewart, Winstanley, and Eghbali were all present at Chelsea’s Cobham training facility on Monday to get the hunt for Potter’s long-term replacement underway. Potter was fired on Sunday afternoon.

In addition to speaking with Nagelsmann, Chelsea is also anticipated to speak with the representatives of Mauricio Pochettino and Luis Enrique, both of whom are currently unemployed, as well as Luciano Spalletti of Napoli and at least one other candidate, who may be Oliver Glasner of Eintracht Frankfurt or Ruben Amorim of Sporting.
