
Costa Titch, a South African musician, and dancer has passed away.
Titch, whose real name is Costa Tsobanoglou, apparently passed out on stage on Saturday during the Ultra music event.
Just before midnight, entertainment analyst Phil Mphela revealed Titch’s passing on Twitter, and a stream of dejected responses from colleagues in the field followed.
Costa Titch, RIP, Mphela tweeted.
“Costa Tsobanoglou, a dancer and artist from Nelspruit, has died. He was 27.”
1995 saw the birth of Titch in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.
He is well-known for a number of songs, including Active and Nkalakatha.

After collapsing onstage during a live concert, South African rapper Costa Titch passed away a few hours later.
Social media videos showed him getting pulled to his feet after appearing to slip and fall to the ground during his performance. He kept performing and finished his track a little while later before fainting again.

“Tragically, death has arrived at our door. stealing our grandson, beloved son, and brother from us. Under his stage name “Costa Titch,” Constantinos Tsobanoglou (28), who South Africa had grown to adore and idolize, “On Sunday, his family posted a message on the rapper’s Instagram account. “At this moment, we find ourselves having to recognize his passing, which causes us great pain.”
The cause of death was not officially disclosed by the family.
Titch gave a performance on Saturday at the Ultra South Africa music event in Johannesburg. Videos posted to social media show the rapper temporarily losing consciousness, getting up to continue performing, and then appearing to do so again as staff raced to his side.
His family praised “emergency responders and all those present in his last hours on this earth” in their statement.
We as a family are going through a trying time as we try to understand what has happened to us, and we beg that we be given the time and space to gather ourselves, they added. “The Tsobanoglou family would like to express their gratitude for all of their son’s love and support and ask that you keep lifting him even in spirit. Please remember us in your prayers and in the Lord’s esteem.”
