By Samuel has been detained by police in Ovwian/Aladja Division, Udu Local Government Area, Delta State after his teenage buddy allegedly overdosed on tramadol in his residence.
According to reports, the adolescent passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2023, at around 2:00 pm in Samuel’s apartment on Okuku Street in Ovwian town.
The deceased, known as “Bros,” was allegedly observed consuming the substance with the offender on that particular Thursday, according to a local who went by the name Jane and spoke to Punch.
Jane claims that after taking the substance, the two went to play football in a nearby field before Samuel returned home shortly after to find his companion asleep in his flat.
He called for help, but sadly, a nearby nurse later confirmed that the victim had passed away.
The Ovwian Police Station continues to hold the suspect in custody.
The incident was confirmed by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, who also said that the deceased’s parents were not willing to provide any information to the police.
