Ex-Jamb Registrar, Ojerinde & 4 Kids, Facing New Corruption Charges

The Former Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, will be charged again by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) before Judge Inyang Edem Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja.

Professor Ojerinde, who is already on trial for alleged N5 billion fraud at the same court, will likely be charged today along with four of his children (Friday).

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Mary Funmilola, Olumide Abiodun, Adedayo, and Oluwaseun are Mr. Ojerinde’s four co-defendants.

Mr. Ojerinde’s businesses, Doyin Ogbohi Petroleum Ltd, Cheng Marbles Ltd, Sapati International Schools Ltd, Trillium Learnings Centre Ltd, and Standout Institutes Ltd, are also listed among the defendants.

As of the time the report was submitted, Mr. Ojerinde and the 10 defendants, who were charged before Federal High Court judge Inyang Ekwo in Abuja, had not yet entered a plea.

In the new case, the ICPC charged them with misusing public monies while he was the registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO) and JAMB.
