Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Works and Housing, has revealed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) knew their results from the situation room prior to the final pronouncement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Fashola urged Nigerians to sheath their swords and put an end to any squabbles that occurred during the just concluded 2023 general elections.

According to the Minister, all conflicts should be resolved before the end of the political season.

He made the remarks during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.

Fashola, who headed the Tinubu-Shettima campaign’s Election Strategy Directorate, explained that the party trained 2,000 agents from all states and sent them back to teach agents in their respective areas.

“Some of the young people came from the United States to campaign for Tinubu,” he claimed, adding that the party knew the results before INEC announced them.

Fashola went on to say that Nigerians are inseparable beyond religion and ethnicity and that they should “wear the trousers of adults” and mature after the elections.

“I think we’re too tied at the hip to let differences about elections persist beyond elections,” he remarked. We are connected in far too many areas.

“For example, if you’re talking about ethnicity, my first cousin is Lois Ganiu Okafor, and I have another cousin, Fola Okeke, God bless her soul.” So, one of these irritates me the most?

“I believe that some of the speech went the wrong way, and I believe that everyone in the room should now wear the clothing of grownups, which I believe is already happening and tempers are flaring.” When there is competition, we can be severe. “I believe maturity will emerge as time passes.”
