FUOYE dispels rumors that a student died during an exam on March 31, 2023.

Company Report
The Federal University of Oye-Ekiti confirmed on Friday that contrary to what some online news bloggers had said, no student died on Thursday as a result of problems with the computer-based test.
In a statement released in Oye-Ekiti, the university’s registrar, Mr. Mufutau Ibrahim, made the pronouncement.
According to him, the management has delayed the CBT by one week to resolve concerns made about exam administration by students and other parties involved.
He claims that certain concerns have been expressed about the way the exams are being administered, which is troubling given that some pupils have not yet been tested.
The following was part of the statement: “The university management acknowledged the concerns that have emerged during the administration of the CBT as we move forward academically with the first semester exams and strongly express remorse at the turn of events.
It’s important to note that worried students were properly notified that the CBT had been canceled in order to make room for the JAMB Mock UTME as planned.

“It’s sad that students continue to swarm the university’s ICT center in enormous numbers, practically provoking mob behavior.
“As it was rumored by phony web news, we did not record any deaths during the test.
“As an emergency and temporary solution, all CBT Exams have been postponed for one week. For the avoidance of doubt, all scheduled first-semester pen-on-paper exams will take place.
The vice chancellor, prof. Abayomi Fasina, and his management team were credited in the statement for forming a committee to handle everything from planning to claims of extortion made against some security employees.
However, the registrar apologized to the students for any inconveniences the management’s action may have caused.
