Kano Man’s(Philibus) Shocking Confession: Strangling His Girlfriend

Philibus admitted to strangling his girlfriend to death when she refused to have the pregnancy terminated after being apprehended.

Theresa was taken into a bush and strangled to death by the suspect and his companion, Gabriel Bila, 25, according to a statement from the command spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.

The declaration reads:

“A lady was reported to have been found lifeless on the ground by the roadside at Anadariya Village, Bebeji Local Government Area, along Kano-Jos Road, Kano State, on March 28, 2023, at 1630 hours.

“Upon receiving the complaint, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Bebeji Division, SP Tanimu Wada, raised and directed a squad of detectives to head to the area under the direction of CP Mamman Dauda, Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command. The team arrived on the spot right away, took the body to Tiga General Hospital, and a doctor there pronounced her dead.

The dead was identified as Theresa Yakubu, ‘f,’ 20, of Anadariya Village, Bebeji LGA, who was two months pregnant at the time of her death.

Also, it resulted in the detention of her lover, 20-year-old Philibus Ibrahim of Unguwar Korau Quarters, Tudun Wada LGA, and his companion, 25-year-old Gabriel Bila of the same location.

“After further examination, Philibus admitted that he had gotten his fiancée pregnant two months prior and that all attempts to have the pregnancy terminated had failed. After that, he and his companion planned to kill her by strangling her with her head tie while the friend held her hands in a bush.

“For a covert investigation, the case has been given to the Murder Branch of the State Criminal Investigation Directorate (SCID). After the inquiry is over, the suspects will be charged in court. The sentence was read.
