By The Supreme Court has fixed judgment for March 3 in suits filed by some States against the naira swap policy of the Federal Government.
Justice John Inyang Okoro fixed the date after taking arguments for and against the suit by some States of the Federation.
The states led by Kaduna, Kogi and Zamfara are praying the Apex Court to void and set aside the policy on the ground that it is inflicting hardships on innocent Nigerians.
The Supreme Court had on February 8 restrained the Federal Government from implementing the February 10 deadline for swapping the old naira notes with new ones, but the Central Bank of Nigeria refused to shift the deadline.
