According to Air Vice Marshall Ayo Jolasinmi, the head of the Defense Space Administration, Nigeria would shortly launch Satellites II and III into orbit.
He claims that his organization is better suited to utilize the first satellite’s space products.
According to a statement released on Friday by the Special Assistant to the Minister on Media and Publicity, Mohammad Abdulkadri, he made this revelation while paying a courtesy call on the Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi (retd), in Abuja, Nigeria.
Jolasinmi added that the orbit was operating flawlessly and that it would require the ministry’s assistance to maintain its frequency.

According to a portion of the announcement, “The Head of the Defence Space Administration thanked the Minister for accepting his appointment and for securing the prompt distribution of intervention funds, which he noted is mitigating the consequences of the meager financial allocation.
“Jolasinmi stated that with the launch of the first satellite, DSA is better positioned to use space products, while Satellites two and three would be launched soon.
While the servicing of its frequency has been a work in progress requiring ongoing support from the Ministry, the Chief of the Military Space Administration informed the Minister that the Orbit is operating as intended.

Addressing this, the Minister of Defense urged the Defense Space Administration’s new leadership to push technological boundaries in order to combat national vulnerability.
To compete favorably with the most cutting-edge technologies in the rest of the world, he pushed the DSA to implement new technology to unlock space resources and satellites.
Yet he gave the management a guarantee that he would keep working to lessen DSA’s financial problems.
