On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, Professor Peters revealed that 58 of the prisoners are undergraduates and seven are postgraduates when speaking at the 12th pre-convocation briefing in Abuja.

Peters responded to inquiries by saying that the school is developing a fresh plan for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the hopes that it will be more accepting and enlist some of the kids.
According to Peters, if the NYSC accepts NOUN students, it will significantly assist their ability to serve the country. We have almost 400,000 pupils.

Six pupils would receive First Class, 2,306 Second Class Upper, 11,075 Second Class Lower, and 5,558 Third Class, according to Professor Peters.
He said, “To encourage students and parents to participate from the centers close to them, the convocation will take place concurrently at the 114 study centers of the varsity around the country.”
He stated that NOUN was developing a fresh plan for the National Youths Service Corps in the hopes that it would be accepted more favorably and attract people.
