Bukayo Saka, a forward for Arsenal, has gained another accolade after being awarded the Premier League’s EA Sports Player of the Month for March on Friday.

It is impossible to overstate Saka’s importance to the Gunners’ success thus far this season, as he has already contributed to 22 goals in 28 league games.

The England star, who is in excellent form, began the month by scoring and providing an assist in Arsenal’s 4-0 victory over Everton. He finished the month with three goal involvements in Sunday’s victory over Crystal Palace, scoring twice to become the division’s first player to reach double digits in both goals and assists this season.

“It is our forward’s first divisional success of his career,” the club noted on its website in honor of Saka. “He becomes the 22nd different player to win the prize in our colors, the most of any other club in the league’s history.”

Leandro Trossard, who contributed five assists throughout the month, was a close second to Saka in the voting, followed by Alexander Isak of Newcastle United, Mohamed Salah of Liverpool, Alexis MacAllister of Brighton & Hove Albion, and Tyrone Mings of Aston Villa.

This is the second time an Arsenal player has received the honor this year; captain Martin Odegaard was honored in November and December.

Tony Adams, a former captain of Arsenal, has referred to Saka as the best player in the world of soccer outside of World Cup champion Lionel Messi.

In a 2-0 victory over Ukraine on Sunday, the 21-year-old also scored a beautiful goal from outside the box to help the Three Lions maintain first place in their Euro 2024 qualifying group.

When he signs his new contract with the team, he will also become the seventh highest-paid player in the EPL and the highest-paid player at Arsenal.

It is hoped that the winger would extend his contract with the Gunners until 2028 even though his current deal is set to expire in the summer of 2024.
