Murdered Woman Ofili’s one-room apartment in the building made a distress call on Sunday, March 26, at 1:20 pm, which prompted other occupants to step in.
They opened the door and found Ofili using a kitchen knife to stab Okon in the neck. Tragically, Okon lost too much blood at Lagos Island Medical Hospital and died.

What Ofili Did to Plan the Death of Her Friend
Under the condition of anonymity, one of the building’s occupants remarked;
“The person who heard the cry was the landlord’s daughter. She peered out the window and witnessed a man in a mask stabbing a woman. After the door was forced open by other residents after she frantically contacted her father, she learned that the man with the mask was Anita Ofilli.
The space was drenched in blood. The victim was still breathing, we found. To keep Ofili from running away, we had to tie her hands and legs together. Before the Police arrived, Ofili didn’t exhibit any signs of regret.
She promised to tell the police what occurred. She stated that the woman in question was a friend and that what she did was retaliation for what her friend had done to her.

According to accounts, the suspect and the dead studied at the same institution or university and had been close friends for almost 20 years.
They drifted apart for ten years, until they reconciled two weeks ago, over an argument about their boyfriend stealing.
Glory and I had been close friends for a long time, but she cheated on us by stealing my boyfriend, Ofili said.
Authorities have verified the murder.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the occurrence and stated;
On March 26, around 5:50 p.m., a resident of Greenville Estate called the police to report hearing screaming coming from Annie Ofili’s room. He and other residents raced to the room and forced the door open only to find Annie standing on Glory Okon, who had come to visit her.
A group of detectives arrived to the spot after receiving the information. The suspect was detained, the knife was found, and the body was sent to the mortuary at Mainland General Hospital in Yaba for autopsy and preservation. The suspect has been transferred to the SCIID, Yaba, for discreet investigation.”
