Entertainment: In the wee hours of March 15, Naira Marley used an Instagram live stream to convey his feelings and show his support for Sanwo-Olu.
The singer of “Soapy” opined that Sanwo-Olu is the ideal candidate for the position. He added that the state’s infrastructure and other areas had undergone substantial improvement, and this could be independently verified.
Naira Marley hammered home his case by stating that Sanwo-Olu, an experienced man who is already knowledgeable based on what he has done in the state thus far, is exactly what Lagos needs for continuity and stability.
Sanwo-Olu has been outstanding, he said, adding that he does not support any political party. He made it clear that this was not a promotional deal but rather his decision.
I don’t support the Labour Party, the People’s Democratic Party, or the All Progressives Congress… We don’t need to begin testing, though, given the direction Lagos is currently heading. Sanwo-Olu is the best candidate, in my opinion. This is not a paid advertisement. He has the experience and has accomplished a lot, the man remarked.

The musician, who is well-known for his contentious anecdotes, declared his political preference while preparing for the usual blowback that comes with doing so as a public figure from Nigeria.
“I believe Sanwo-Olu is the best candidate for the position. This is not a paid advertisement. But look at what he’s done now, common guys… He has accomplished a lot, the evidence is clear, you understand, and he also has the experience, he continued.
The musician claimed to have known Sanwo-Olu would make Lagos a beautiful city.
“You can tell, just look at the outcome… Obviously, deeds speak louder than words. Common bro, if you look at all the active projects.
You cannot tell us that we shouldn’t talk right now because of one thing or another because we are Nigerians and not members of the APC.
Sanwo-Olu has the potential to advance Lagos, the singer said.
“If it’s up to me, I’m confident he’ll advance Lagos. You can know by looking at the outcome; certainly, deeds speak louder than words. Common bro, if you look at all the active projects.
Naira Marley further emphasized that despite the current pattern of internet reaction that typically follows such open announcements, he cannot be silenced from expressing support for his favorite candidate.
