By The president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will choose only brilliant people for his cabinet after taking the oath of office on May 29, according to Nicolas Felix, a former APC presidential candidate.
Felix mentioned that Tinubu’s appointment would be based on competence rather than party affiliations in an appearance on Arise Television on Tuesday.
Regardless of their political affiliation, every Nigerian matter, he said, adding that Tinubu has pledged to create a government of national unity.
He declared, “Asiwaju is a man that honors loyalty, he awards hard effort, and there are Nigerians out there who are also talented, experienced, and accomplished but who are not members of our party.
He will start choosing people outside of his APC and look beyond it. Yet, I am also adamant that he is sincere when he declares, “I want to construct a government of national unity. If you are in the PDP, the Labour Party, or any other party, you are a Nigerian, and we are all Nigerians.”
He asked Nigerians to collaborate with Tinubu to restore the country’s functioning.
“Every patriotic Nigerian is supposed to join forces with the new president and work together when a new president is elected unless you are only there for your own self-interest. If you truly desire Nigeria’s development, you want it to improve. Please offer anything you have to present yourself for service.
“He has extended his hands of brotherhood already. They must decide whether to embrace it and follow him. Because he has already invited individuals to brainstorm with him, I am confident that he won’t be chasing after them. The President-elect asks them to join hands as there are numerous people who are prepared to knock on Asiwaju’s door.
