After Friday’s loss to Guinea-Bissau, Nigerian fans weren’t sure whether to laugh or grieve.

Super Eagles fans’ reactions to Nigeria’s loss against Guinea-Bissau on Friday were diverse, with some unsure whether to laugh or mourn.
By the final whistle, there was plenty of laughter among Nigerian fans, but there was also a fair amount of anger as the Eagles’ shortcomings were exposed in Abuja.
Following several disappointing performances, some of the Super Eagles received criticism as well; the midfield in particular was singled out.
Fighting of the birds
Iyawo Bruno’s comment that Guinea fowl defeated Super Chicken made us chuckle.
Ouch!

The Super Pigeons?
After that display, Nwudu Austin doesn’t even believe “Super Chickens” was appropriate.
The planet’s most useless thing
Super Eagles abi Super Chicken are the most useless team on the earth, declared @ToolzSmart. “I think NNF should not pay this set of players, when they get to their club side [they] perform well if they feel they don’t want to play for Nigeria, then we can use our home-based players,” they continued.
Would a team made up of NPFL all-stars have done better versus Guinea-Bissau?
They said, “I understand how upset and disillusioned Nigerians are, especially those who engaged in betting. To be completely honest, I gave up on Super Chicken games a long time ago.
But today, they flew a little higher; today, they were Super Pigeons, he said. They require additional time to meld together.
In order for the NFF to acknowledge their shortcomings, I don’t want them to qualify. In fact, @KopabariRN is hoping Nigeria doesn’t advance to the Africa Cup of Nations.
He said, “Don’t stop giving Nigerians reasons to be down about this failing Super Chicken. “We now take delight in always losing.
“I hope we even miss out on the Afcon, so the pathetic NFF can finally be embarrassed,”

Goodbye, Peseiro.
One of the supporters who thought José Peseiro should be fired after the loss was Fatunke Oludare.
He began, “I believe it is past time for this Super Eagles coach Peseiro to be fired. The team was a collection of Super Chickens who played without using any technical skills.
Use neighborhood coaches
@SunnyIrums screamed, “This Peseiro guy is a joke. “We have much better home-based coaches than this guy here in Nigeria!”
He recently fired himself.
The Eagles’ defeat means the head coach will undoubtedly be fired, according to @Yacham1.
He noted, “Peseiro just fired himself. He was given 90 minutes to defend, but he failed. He had 90 minutes to score against a weak team, but he failed to do so.

“The referee is his best play of the game; the guy can’t even assess how well his team played.”
Could the head coach have been replaced by the best players in the NPFL?
NFF must change.
Echoing @AbbeyShittu4, “This Peseiro is a mistake of a coach.” Before he completes our football, he better be fired.
The Super Falcons coach said, “These people are just not good enough for our national teams. The same thing applies to him.”
not utilizing Osimhen to his full potential
Nwachukwu Samuel thinks that not positioning the Eagles in a way to maximize Victor Osimhen’s performance, who has been in such phenomenal form for Napoli, is one of Peseiro’s greatest offenses.
The usage of two midfielders will weaken the defense line, he added. “Someone has to inform Nigeria coaches and their technical directors of this,” he wrote. Why not employ the 4-3-3 that would work best for striker Osimhen instead of a 4-4-2 formation?
Does Osimhen deserve a better situation than Peseiro’s at the moment?
@Infonaija 247 has named four players who, in their opinion, should never again be invited to an international camp and has chosen to place the responsibility on the pitch and the midfield rather than the head coach or Osimhen.
They started off by saying that Chukwueze, Francis Uzoho, Iheanacho, and Ahmed Musa shouldn’t be called up to the Super Eagles once more. “For those who are criticizing Victor Osimhen, please look closely at the Nigerian midfield; it is not particularly impressive.
“The Abuja pitch is not up to par, which only makes things worse.”
Abuja: Never once more
The majority of supporters agreed that this should be the Eagles’ final game on the Abuja turf.
