Nicolas Pepe, the Arsenal winger, is on the verge of departing the Premier League club this summer. While he had been linked with moves to Saudi Arabian clubs, it appears he is now leaning towards a transfer to Turkish side Trabzonspor. This information was shared by veteran football journalist Fabrizio Romano on Thursday.
In a tweet, Romano stated, “Nicolas Pépé, not convinced by Saudi approaches—deal not happening, his priority is now to join Trabzonspor. Negotiations to follow in order to reach an agreement, as @footmercato called, he’s completely out of Arsenal project.”
Pepe still has one year remaining on his contract with Arsenal, but it seems he is not part of Head Coach Mikel Arteta’s plans for the upcoming season. As a result, negotiations are expected to take place to facilitate his move to Trabzonspor.
