By The administration of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) in Edo State has denounced the murder of Mayor, a final-year student there.
At about 9 p.m. on Monday, Mayor, a student at the Department of Public Administration, was shot in the face from close range.
He was also the school’s Kegite chief.
Dr. Benedicta Ehanire, UNIBEN’s public relations officer, revealed in a statement on Tuesday that the organization’s administration was collaborating closely with the police and internal security to find the murderer.
“The management of the University of Benin has denounced the ruthless and sad execution of a final-year male student, commonly known as “Mayor” (actual name withheld), on the night of Monday, March 3, 2023, according to the statement.
