
Four Chrisland School Ikeja staff members were granted bail on Thursday by an Ikeja High Court in connection with the suspected involuntary manslaughter of Whitney Adeniran, a 12-year-old student.
Ademoye Adewale, Kuku Fatai, Belinda Amao, and Nwatu Victoria were accused by the Lagos State Government of involuntary manslaughter and careless negligence.
Nonetheless, the accused entered a not-guilty plea to the accusation.
According to The News Agency of Nigeria, when the defense attorney made the petition for bail on March 28 and March 29, respectively, Judge Oyindamola Ogala admitted the defendants’ bail.

The prosecution, which was headed by Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN, the Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, made no objections.
The first and second accused were granted by Ogala N10 million bail each with two sureties in like sum.
She also agreed to set the bail for the third and fourth accused at N20 million each with two additional sureties in the same amount.
The judge ruled that each surety had to be employed for pay, have reliable documentation of their financial situation, and be residents of the area covered by the court.
