Senator Kabiru Marafa, the coordinator of the Tinubu/Shetima Presidential Campaign Committee in Zamfara, acknowledged the occurrence on Thursday and condemned it.

The thugs destroyed the party’s structures, breaking the ceiling, tiles, roofing sheets, cars, generators, chairs, tables, television, and other items.

Marafa told journalists that he could not estimate the cost of the extent of the damage to the various facilities after touring the affected campaign offices.

“PDP was declared the winner once the results of the March 18 election were announced. We received reports of vandalism at our offices by morning, and for the past two hours, I have been visiting each location to assess the damage, he said.

The APC leader referred to the incident as regrettable and urged the political figures to summon their followers to order to avoid repeating this circumstance.

But, as of the time this article was filed, the state’s police authorities had not yet responded to a request for comment.

One of the 28 states in Nigeria that held governorship elections last Saturday was Zamfara. Violence and ballot box grabbing by alleged political thugs interrupted the voting process.
